Dissolution

Dissolution is basically a process where a solid substance enters a solvent to yield a solution.It is generally perfomed below the solubility limitations of a particular drug substance.This type of dissolution test is generally referred as in vitro dissolution testing.

         In vitro---> in the vessel
         in vivo----> in side the cell i.e human body (Bio study)
                  In pharama industry dissolution test is carried out to predict the in vivo performance (Bio availabiliy) of drug product.
                             Generally dissolution is used as  perfomance test in routine quality control testing to verify the batch to batch consistancy.
