Neurotransmitters:

Neurons communicate with each other through the use of chemical messengers, these messengers are called neurotransmitters; another name for a neurotransmitter or for that matter, a drug that is able to bind with a receptor is a ligand. Neurotransmitters, like drugs, are differentiated by their molecular structure. The following neurotransmitters are relevant to our discussion:

Acetylcholine (ACh): Muscles, Cerebral cortex
